Sana MEP Accepts Contract at Ilford Mall

Sana MEP has taken a contract at Exchange Ilford to undertake behind the scenes electrical work including rewiring and timing solutions for lighting. The owners The Mall Fund have looked to implement better electrical infrastructure and efficiency through timed lighting and have asked Sana MEP to oversee and complete the work.

Exchange Ilford spans three stories and covers 300,000 sq. ft. It has a number of prominent high street retailers such as Marks and Spencer, TK Maxx, and River Island alongside 90 other retail units.

The Mall boasts unusual architecture with the ground floor being separated in two and moving between the two sections requires access through the middle floor. Sana MEP understands this architecture also plays a crucial factor in how electricity is delivered across the mall and will be completing rewiring work to ensure the lights stay on this winter.

Additionally, Exchange Ilford owners are keen to assess their timed lighting solution, and isolate areas for improvement to increase energy efficiency throughout. Sana MEP will be ensuring the timed lighting operates exactly as anticipated and in the most efficient manner going forward.

Of the project, Sana MEP director has stated, “Exchange Ilford is a busy and core part of the Ilford community. We are thrilled to be able to assist in the rewiring and timed lighting solution to improve sustainability and keep the lights on this Christmas. The layout of the shopping centre provides many unique challenges but Sana MEP is committed to meeting those and providing electrical support with no disruption to Exchange Ilford businesses or shoppers.”

To stay abreast of the latest developments at Exchange Ilford, Sana MEP will be providing ongoing updates about the project. Sana MEP will also keep you posted on the latest electrical contracts on the local and national level.
