SANA Electrical has been awarded a large contract with 17 and Central through Tide Construction to provide mechanical and electrical works.

Central and 17 currently owns and operates the mall at Walthamstow and is seeking a more environmentally friendly approach for the shopping plaza. This summer saw the first Sustainable Summer Camp, designed to get young people in the Walthamstow community thinking about the environment and energy for the future.

Those attending could learn about plants and plant-life while also getting hands on with small eco-friendly projects.

As part of the sustainability initiative, 17 and Central is looking at their broader carbon footprint and utilizing renewable and sustainable electricity across the mall. To do this, older installations will need to be removed to make way for green energy technology.

SANA Electrical will be overseeing the mechanical and electrical aspect of this, from consultation and planning through to installation and maintenance.
